Bronte Forbes

A third-generation equine veterinarian, Bronte Forbes started his career in Western Australia after graduating from Murdoch University before moving to Singapore and then onto Hong Kong. He has spent most of his career in a primarily clinical role in thoroughbred racing practice but has recently taken on the role of Head of Veterinary Regulation, Welfare and Biosecurity Policy at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, overseeing the veterinary treatment of the racehorses at the Hong Kong Jockey Club and ensuring that the integrity of racing is at the highest standard.  Bronte holds an VetD, MBA, CertAVP and is a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (Equine Medicine).  He has a particular interest in how the use of technology can assist veterinarians and trainers to assess racehorses’ health and performance.
